Thinking About Coming Take A Look?
First, you have to figure out how far it is from where you are, and how you'll get here. Will you fly? Drive? Bring horses and ride some trails?
Here are links to Google Maps and Mapquest, so you can get started figuring it out.
If you decide to fly, you will most likely come in to Knoxville or Nashville and will be renting a car at the airport. You may want to stay in a motel like Super 8 in Cookeville or Best Western in Crossville, where there are more places to eat than in Jamestown. The Jordan is Jamestown's local motel.
If you want to bring horses, there is a horse campground right in Ridgetop where you will be very comfortable. It also has several "sleeping cabins" with a bed, toilet and sink for a very reasonable rate; Timber Ridge Horse Campground has an excellent bath house as well as a very well-stocked full kitchen and common area with leather couches and big-screen TV.
You can also arrange for rental horses and a guided ride through a local outfitter, if you want to see the trails without hauling your horses.
